Background Information
- The Anti-Racist Education Meet-up Group was formed during the summer of 2020 as a means of discussing and sharing resources aimed at promoting anti-racist ideas and contributing to an anti-racist mindset and way of being. The group meets virtually via Microsoft Teams approximately twice per semester. Please email cL2c@uottawa.ca if you are interested in joining this meet-up group but please note that there is an introductory task which you must complete prior to joining.
- Our Philosophy is that we are all here to learn but we will learn differently and at varying points. As we learn, we will also make mistakes but we must get over our fear – replacing it with hope, patience and grace.
- Meeting dates for the 2020-2021 academic year are as follows: October 9th, November 20th, January 29th, March 19th, May 14th and July 16th.
Introductory Task
- Please watch the following video by Dr. Awad Ibrahim prior to joining the cL2c meet-up group.
