En Ontario, les élèves du secondaire en 12e année peuvent se présenter pour l'examen DELF (CPF, 2020). Les conseils scolaires sont individuellement responsables de l'offre de l'examen DELF à leurs élèves et le nombre d'élèves qui passent l'examen du DELF en Ontario augmente chaque année. En 2021-22, à l'Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), 82 % des élèves éligibles pour apprendre le FLS en 12e année ont participé à l'examen du DELF et 96 % d'entre eux l'ont réussi (OCDSB, n.d.).

In Ontario, secondary students enrolled in Grade 12 FSL courses can take the DELF exam (CPF, 2020). Avec l'augmentation de la participation au DELF, il est de plus en plus important que les enseignants de FLS à tous les niveaux soient au courant de ce qu'est le test DELF. De plus en plus de conseils scolaires encouragent leurs enseignants de FLS à devenir des correcteurs ou des examinateurs certifiés du DELF.
Il faut participer à la formation DELF pour devenir correcteur/examinateur et participer à des formations de renouvellement subséquentes.
La formation DELF est gratuite pour les candidats à l'enseignement du FLS à la faculté d'Éducation, Université d'Ottawa.
With increased participation in the DELF comes an increased importance for FSL teachers at all levels to be aware of what the DELF test is all about. More and more school boards are encouraging their FSL teachers to become certified correctors or examiners of the DELF.
One must participate in DELF training to become a corrector/examiner and participate in renewal training every few years.
DELF training is free for FSL teacher candidates at the Faculty of Education, University of Ottawa.

The DELF training is a deep dive on the CEFR levels, as well as on action-oriented tasks that focus on the pragmatic and sociolinguistic skills of FSL students, in addition to their linguistic competencies in French.

Whether you’re teaching in Core French or French Immersion, the knowledge you will gain on the CEFR will serve your FSL teaching practices. For example, students who have participated in this training in the past have found it extremely beneficial.
